The Appointment Committee
The Appointment Committee will help fill vacant senate positions as outlined in Article V Section IV of the Constitution. The committee will consist of one permanent member of each class as well as a rotating chair who will be the president of the class with a vacancy.

The Elections Committee
An Election Committee shall be appointed by the President of the SGA, with a two-thirds majority vote of the SGA. The Election Committee shall determine the dates for the election to be held. These dates are subject to the approval of the SGA. The Election Committee will have the power to enforce the election rules. The Election Committee shall monitor each candidate’s campaign and have the power to remove any materials in violation of the election rules. The Student Government Association Election Committee Chairperson shall verify the election and the counting of the votes. NOTE: NO MEMBER OF THE ELECTION COMMITTEE MAY BE APPOINTED TO THE RULES COMMITTEE.

The Finance Committee
The Finance Committee shall propose a budget for the SGA at the beginning of each semester and assist the Vice-President of Finance with the control and handling of all SGA monies. The Finance Committee shall hear the funding request(s) of registered student organizations and make recommendations to the SGA. It shall have the power to request reports from all organizations and activities that request funds from the SGA. The Finance Committee shall consist of a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate, and Senator-at-Large.

The Publication Board
The Student Publication Board works to establish a budget for the three publications The Scroll, The Vortex, and The Echo. The board also selects the editors for these publications. The Vortex editor is selected at the beginning of the Fall semester; The Echo editor is selected at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters, and The Scroll editor is selected at the end of the Spring semester.

The Public Relations Committee
The Publicity Committee shall publicize and promote the activities of the SGA. At least six (6) SGA members shall serve on the PR Committee.

The Rules and Ethics Committee
The Rules and Ethics committee with consist of six members: one freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, and senator-at-large. It will be chaired by the Vice-President. It will hear all appealed demerits and vote to uphold the decision to issue the demerit or overturn it. The Rules and Ethics Committee has the authority to issue demerits for inappropriate behavior including policy and Code of Conduct violations.

The SAFA Committee
Purpose: To insure accountability of all student activity fee funding; to teach budget planning; to encourage organizations to plan ahead; to encourage organizations to justify their expenses; to encourage a greater diversity of activities funded through the student activity fee; and to better organize the SGA to make available more time to deal with non-monetary issues. Goals: The Student Activity Fee Committee will support activities and insure a balance of events that broaden the educational, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for all University of Central Arkansas students.

Student Fee Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Student Fee Advisory Committee is to ensure openness and transparency in the distribution and spending of student fees by university officials. The committee shall receive quarterly reports from the office of the Vice President of Finance of UCA. The Committee shall be composed of eight (8) senators, the four (4) class Vice Presidents, a Graduate Senator, a Senator-at-Large, and the Junior and Senior class Presidents. The Committee shall elect their own chair. The Student Fee Advisory Committee shall review funding and distribution of all student fees. The Committee shall meet at designated periods throughout the year with the directors of departments and university institutions that receive student fees. The Student Fee Advisory Committee shall report the information learned to the full Senate the following meeting.

The Student Life Committee
The Student Life Committee shall review all matters pertaining to Student Life that are brought before the SGA and advise SGA in these matters. They shall coordinate any activity or action taken by SGA in this area. This includes matters pertaining to minority affairs, commuter affairs, and food services. It will review all proposed resolutions and advise the full Senate accordingly. It shall consist of eight members: on freshman, two sophomores, two juniors, two seniors, one graduate and one SAL. Its chair will come from within the committee.
