The University of Central Arkansas Strategic Task Force met on February 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Buffalo Alumni Hall. This meeting consisted of faculty, staff, and student representation of UCA. Our committee discussed the Goal 3 of the Strategic Plan which reads: “Develop and manage the fiscal resources necessary to provide ongoing support for the university’s mission and strategic plan.” This specific task force concentrated on the second half of Objective 4 which reads: “Increases…new private gifts and pledges by 62% (from $4.32 million to $6 million) by 2017.” During this meeting we discussed the actions, objectives, start year, cost, responsibilities, and expected results of the strategic plan and what needed to be changed or taken out. A revised copy is now being written up to be presented during the next spring Strategic Plan Review.
